Minor league baseball team showed video calling Ocasio-Cortez an 'enemy of freedom'

The minor-league affiliate of the Washington Nationals, said the editing "made a statement that was not our intent and certainly not our opinion."

(KFTK) - A minor league baseball team has issued an apology after it showed a Memorial Day tribute video at its stadium that compared congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to dictators. 

The video aired between games of the doublheader at the Triple-A Fresno Grizzlies and as the voice of President Ronald Regan says "enemies of freedom," the video showed an image of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, between images of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un and former Cuban president Fidel Castro

The team send an apology via Twitter for broadcasting the video which "ended with some misleading and offensive editing."

The minor-league affiliate of the Washington Nationals, said the editing "made a statement that was not our intent and certainly not our opinion." The club apologized to the men and women of U.S. armed forces for "the undue distraction on such a solemn day."
