More than 400 immigrants illegally crossing Texas border captured in 5 minutes

El Paso agents has been averaging 570 captures per day over the past month.

EL PASO, Texas (KFTK) — Early Tuesday morning, U.S. Border Patrol agents caught more than 400 individuals who were illegally crossing the southern U.S. border near El Paso, Texas.

The hundreds of immigrants encountered agents in two waves. The first group of 194 people was apprehended at about 2:45 a.m. and merely five minutes later, a second group of 252 people were taken into custody.

Totaling 430, most of the immigrants were travelling from Central America in families and as unaccompanied minors.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, this sector of El Paso agents has been averaging 570 captures per day over the past month.
