'Dangerous' Missouri inmate escapes jail, police on the hunt

"Travis Davis is considered dangerous and should not be approached."

SEDALIA, MO (KFTK) - Police are on the hunt after an inmate escaped his cell Sunday.

According to police, a Pettis County Jail inmate was found missing from his cell block late Sunday night. After an extensive search of the facility police found evidence of his escape. 

Police are looking for 30-year-old Travis L. Davis who was being charged with kidnapping, endangering the welfare of a minor, domestic assault, resisting arrest, and parole violation.

Davis is described as a white male, 6' tall and 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  He has several tattoos including an eye within a triangle on the front of his neck.  He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and grey pants.

In addition, police say that Davis is considered dangerous and should not be approached.
