(KFTK) - The sad story of a police officer killed in St. Louis has reached a young boy in Florida, who ran a mile while carrying a Thin Blue Line flag in honor of the fallen North County Police Cooperative officer. 10-year-old Zechariah from Florida is running more than 300 total miles, each one in honor of a first responder who lost their life in the line of duty.

On Sunday in St. Louis, Officer Michael Langsdorf was killed Sunday afternoon in the St. Louis suburb of Wellston after responding to a call about someone trying to pass a bad check at a small market. Langsdorf was a 40-year-old father of two.
