Gov. Parson announces $164 million investment from Bayer into St. Louis area

The announcement comes after Parson’s first European Trade Mission, which on included a stop in Germany to meet with Bayer's CEO

(KFTK) - Missouri Gov. Mike Parson announced Bayer will be moving its North American Crop Science Division to Creve Coeur, Mo. and making a total investment of more than $164 million to the area. 

It will create 500 new jobs and offer a starting salary of about $110,000, Parson told media in Jefferson City.

Gov. Parson last month traveled to Europe and met with leaders of multiple companies with operations in Missouri, including Bayer CEO Werner Baumann.
