(KFTK) - McDonald's is trying to make it an easy playing field for older workers.

They are teaming up with AARP to hire workers over 50. According to a report by CNBC, teenagers make up 40 percent of the company’s workforce while only 11 percent are over the age of 50.

The fast food joint is looking to hire nearly 250,000 to prepare for a busy summer across the U.S. Jobs will be posted on the nonprofit's website for those that are interested in applying.

In a press release, McDonald's says it's looking to fill positions for the morning and afternoon shift.
