(KFTK) — Looks like Apple's new Mac Pro line will be made in the USA.

On Monday, the company announced that its Mac Pro desktop units will be manufactured in Austin, Texas rather than China, where most Apple products are made.

Fox Business reports that back in June the tech giant planned on moving Mac Pro production to China. Then in July, President Donald Trump tweeted the U.S. would not grant Apple tariff exemptions.

However, Friday, Apple was granted exceptions allowing the company to import parts from China without paying tariffs, according to Fox Business. But Apple says the new Mac Pros contain twice as many American-made components as previous models.

Fox reports that "more than a dozen" U.S. companies in eight states — Arizona, Maine, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Vermont — will supply Mac Pro components, according to Apple.

Austin is where the most Apple employees outside of Cupertino, Calif. are employed — 6,200 as of December 2018, Fox reports. The company has plans to expand, increasing its workforce by 5,000 with the potential to employ up to 15,000 workers.

The price for a new Mac Pro starts at $5,999.
