GMA host apologized for laughing at Prince George of Cambridge taking ballet

Do you think she needed to apologize for what she said?

(KFTK) - During a segment on Good Morning America, Lara Spencer reported a story about 6-year-old, Prince George, the future King of England, taking ballet classes.

She laughed and then said, "We'll see how long that lasts."

Spencer received backlash all weekend. She wrote on Instagram: "My sincere apologies for an insensitive comment I made in pop news yesterday. From ballet to anything one wants to explore in life, I say GO FOR IT. I fully believe we should all be free to pursue our passions. Go climb your mountain-and love every minute of it."

Monday morning, members of the Broadway and dance community are conducting a dance class outside of the NBC show's studios.

Spencer is aware of it and called one of the organizers of the event to express her apologies. She apologized on GMA, Monday morning:
