(KFTK) — It seems more trendy now than ever to assert your stance on any topic via online petitions.

The latest internet call for signatures is to change the name of Fifth Avenue in New York City between 56th and 57th streets to "President Barack H. Obama Avenue."

And in case you didn't know the exact address of Trump Tower in the Big Apple, it's right on that block. The petition to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and the New York City Council could change the address of Trump Tower to "725 Barack H. Obama Avenue, New York, NY 10022."

"I honestly started it as a joke," Elizabeth Rowin, the petition's author, told Newsweek. "I saw a comedian joke about how it would make Trump so mad if it was named after former President Obama and thought why not."

One person who pledged commented, "Barack Obama, the first Afican American President ... made history. It's that simple. So loved he served 2 terms. He deserves this and it has nothing to do with Donald Trump."

Another commenter said, "It would be a great honor for President Obama and would definitely bother Donald Trump."

Tuesday afternoon, the petition had over 72,000 signatures.
