LITCHFIELD, Ill. (KFTK) - Police in a small Metro East town are warning residents about a bag of blue meth discovered in the area – which resembles a drug made famous in a popular TV show.

In Litchfield, Ill., about 50 miles northeast of St. Louis, police say they seized about 10 grams of methamphetamine that has a distinct blue color. Police say it's a "mystery" as to what was possibly mixed into the already dangerous drug.

Seeing the blue-colored drug made some people think of the popular TV series "Breaking Bad" and the Blue Sky meth recipe that made the show's main character the biggest drug manufacturer in the southwest U.S.

Police posted about the drugs to warn its citizens about the dangerous effects and consequences of using or spreading methamphetamine.

"This substance can destroy families and the lives of the user. Please contact the Police Department or Crimestoppers if you have information regarding the sale of this horrible drug," police stated.
