ST. LOUIS (KFTK) — One of President Trump's attorneys has sent a letter to CNN, demanding a substantial payment of damages.

In a four-page letter to CNN President Jeff Zucker, Charles J. Harder makes several references to anti-trump bias at CNN in recent years.

Undercover videos from Project Veritas show apparent CNN employees complaining about the demanded bias against Trump from their boss, Zucker.

“Never in the history of this country has a President been the subject of such a sustained barrage of unfair, unfounded, unethical and unlawful attacks by so-called 'mainstream' news, as the current situation," the letter states.

The letter cites several journalist "codes" that should be followed, such as:

  • "Verify information before releasing it."
  • “Provide context. Take special care not to misrepresent or oversimplify inpromoting, previewing or summarizing a story.”

Harder writes that the comments in the Project Veritas videos show that CNN is violating a long list of ethics that should be followed by journalists.

“Recently released video footage of individuals alleged to be your employees indicates that your reporting relating to President Trump is contrary to your own mission and the aforementioned Code of Ethics. Your own employees appear to state that CNN is focused on trying to ‘take down President Trump,’ driven by a ‘personal vendetta’ that Mr. Zucker purportedly has against him, rather than reporting the news in an objective manner," Harder writes in the letter.
