CASS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOX) — There were an estimated 400 people at a house party on 4th of July weekend in Missouri and at least five people who were at that party have reportedly tested positive for COVID.

The Cass County Health Department announced the new cluster of cases on Friday, hoping "any individuals who attended this gathering quarantine at home for 14 days and monitor for symptoms."

The man who shot and posted the video told the Star he helped promote the party on social media. He also says that he and at least 10 others who were at the party are showing symptoms of coronavirus.

"We all feel bad for causing this little outbreak that has happened," Cole Wood told the Star. "We feel like we should have been more responsible. Told people to wear masks or something. Not invited everyone.

"The party can wait. It’s not worth people getting sick and spreading it."

The party took place on July 3 at a home between Harrisonville and Garden City near MO-7 Highway, according to the County Health Department.
