Students stuck in the snow storm had an unexpected slumber party at their school! Roads in New Jersey closed and busses were unable to give kids a ride home.

So more than 200 students had to sleep at their West Orange schools. Eight of the district’s schools, including a preschool were affected. But most were at Liberty Middle School.

About 25 teachers chaperoned the sleepover. Students watched movies and were all fed. There was even a very late gym class of basketball games.

Students slept on gym matts, and teachers began serving breakfast at 5:30 am!

By 9:30 all the students had made their way home. The district is closed today. So everyone can enjoy an actual snow day, after their crazy snowy night.
