(KFTK) — "Only designated people may be hunted at the Manor."

That's a tagline for the upcoming controversial satirical thriller that NBC's Universal Pictures has plans to release "The Hunt," which depicts "elites" hunting "deplorables" for sport, according to the Hollywood Reporter. During the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton notoriously associated the the derogatory term "deplorables" with Trump supporters, Fox News noted.

The film "follows a dozen MAGA types who wake up in a clearing and realize they are being stalked for sport by elite liberals," the Reporter said.

ESPN pulled an ad for the film over the past weekend and it will not appear on the network in coming weeks either, the Reporter said.

President Donald Trump commented on the matter, according to Fox News, saying, “What they’re doing, with the kind of movie they’re putting out, it’s actually very dangerous for our country. What Hollywood is doing is a tremendous disservice to our country.”

Mark Steyn commented on the film Thursday on "Tucker Carlson Tonight."

"I actually approve of making films telling stories about the way we live now — we live in an increasingly fractious 50-50 nation," Steyn said. "It is actually the liberal Twitterstorm fantasy taken to the next level."

"The Hunt" is set to hit theaters Friday, Sept. 27.
