Illinois State Representative Blaine Wilhour joined the show to discuss Senate Bill 1966.

This bill would increase FOID card cost in the state. It would reduce the duration of having your FOID card from 10 years to five.

“We’ve got enough laws on the books,” Wilhour said. “They’re just trying to make it as easy as possible to take away guns from law-abiding citizens.”

The bill would require you to give your fingerprint if you would like to get your FOID card or for anyone who is planning on renewing.

“They will have to go in and get fingerprinted like a common criminal,” he said.
