Trump says nothing has changed and the case is closed after Robert Mueller made his first public statement regarding his report into the Russia probe.

"The report is my testimony," Mueller said today. This is an important and strong indicator that Mueller does not have any plans to testify privately or publically before Congress.

The most critical quote of the day was Mueller saying if it were clear president committed no crime, "we would have said so."

The waters are even muddier after the statement which leaves the report and the rule of law open to interpretation.

Senior legal fellow at Heritage Cully Stimson said the fact is, Mueller’s report is a political matter now and it’s up to Congress to decide where it goes from here.

Is the president at this point in any legal trouble?

“There are other legal probes by other legal entities that have been looking into potential troubling actions from the president,” Stimson clarified.

When it comes to this investigation with Barr and Mueller, the case is closed and we need to move on.
