Maybe it's time to cut Chicago loose

The policies of Chicago should not dictate downstate

An Illinois State Representative is ready to split-off Southern Illinois from Chicago.

State Rep. Darren Bailey said the difference between Chicago and Southern Illinois is a culture shock.

“They are completely out of touch,” Bailey said.

Bailey does not believe policies implemented in Chicago should pertain to the rest of the state because they are vastly different areas.

When It comes to the rest of the state, Bailey says Chicago representatives should not have a say in what happens.
