U.S. and Turkey agree to a ceasefire in Syria

Vice President Pence said the United States and Turkey has come to an agreement to have a ceasefire in Syria.

The ceasefire is for 120 hours so that Kurdish troops can get out of the area.

What does it mean going forward in that region? “We don’t want Turkey to create a humanitarian disaster,”  Deputy Assistant to the President Adam Kennedy said. “We’re happy to create a ceasefire.”

Kennedy and Annie also discussed a pause in aid to Ukraine, and was clear when explaining the aid was paused temporarily  because of possible corruption within their government.

“There was no quid pro-quo about the 2016 election and the aid,” he said.
