Reports came out yesterday that a federal government watchdog has recommended that the White House should remove Trump’s lead adviser because she violated the Hatch Act.

“The Hatch Act is a federal law that was passed decades ago that is supposed to prevent federal employees basically politicking while they are on the job,” Hans von Spakovsky explained.

When it comes to political activity, you’re talking about the First Amendment.

Spakovsky said the confusion of Kellyanne Conway expressing the bad proposals by Bernie Sanders while on the job with a violation of the Hatch Act is misconstrued.

Trump says he will not be firing Kellyanne over this reported violation.
