Where does the money actually go for Prop P?

The wording in Prop P made it seem like more money would be going to police officers and stations if you voted 'yes' on the ballot.

Turns out, politicians had other plans to divide up the money.

"If you questioned this particular bill, people wanted to label you as anti-police, anti-law enforcement," John Brown from Fox 2 said. "As the campaign went along, you had a lot of local leaders who came out and said, 'this wording is wrong'."

The vagueness of the ballot language left many reporters, including Brown, concerned on what was actually happening with the proposition behind the scenes.

Brown pointed out that "once the money gets distributed to cities, they can decide," how to spend the funds.
