You can’t shortcut an SAT score

Co-chair for Project 21 News Horace Cooper says the idea of an SAT adversity score was designed to step away from SAT tests and move toward ACT tests.

This adversity score will allow the college board to come up with a mechanism that your race, your gender, and your circumstance have greater value than your merit, according to Cooper.

The goal is noble, but is it realistic?
