Ballot language is often confusing at best and intentionally misleading at worst. Before you hit the polls make sure you’re aware of the issues you’re voting on and how they will affect your area.

7th district St. Louis County councilman Mark Harder joins Marc to explain a few of the Charter Amendments for the county that may be seem confusing if you’re not armed with the facts.

Here’s a very broad look at three amendments you will find when you get your ballot:

Prop 2 – gives power to the county in allowing them to hire their own legal counsel

Prop 3 – adopts state language on what constitutes as employment by St. Louis County

Prop 4 – restricts the County Executive’s power to transfer money without council approval
