Andrew C. McCarthy joins the show this morning to discuss the ongoing Mueller investigation.

McCarthy says it comes down whether it’s a counter intelligence investigation or a criminal investigation.

“A criminal investigation is designed to address a crime that is committed where the government is trying to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a person committed a criminal offense,” says McCarthy.

He goes onto explain that a counter intelligence investigation is not based off of a crime, rather designed to aid the President in carrying out his foreign policy duties. You can’t just assign a prosecutor and ask him to find a crime.

McCathy has reason to believe the Russia investigation was intended to be a counter intelligence investigation against Russia.
