Immigration votes head to house, halting rare discharge petition

Rogue members of the Republican Party filed a rare discharge petition in an effort to side-step committee and send immigration legislation straight to the House floor for a vote.

Speaker Ryan announced Tuesday night the House would be considering two separate bills on immigration nullifying the discharge petition. The legislation revolves around protecting DREAMers.
