Governor Mike Parson is supporting Prop D (Missouri Gas Tax).

This is the first tax increase the Governor has supported in his entire career. So, what’s different about Prop D?

“We haven’t done anything on our motor fuel tax in over 22 years,” says Parson.

The Governor wants to make sure Missourians know the money would not be mismanaged.

“I will do everything in my power to make sure that money goes directly to highways, bridges,” he continues.

We’re not sold on the idea of an additional burden on Missouri taxpayers. For more information check out Marc’s voters guide: Missouri 2018 Voter's Guide

Watch:

Governor Parson briefly discussed the proposed increase with Marc during a previous visit.

“It would do two and a half cents for 4 years, the average person out here, I would say, would be paying $1.65 a month for the increase,” Governor Parson.
