January 28, 2019 - 10:59 am

UMSL Political Science Professor Terry Jones joins Randy to discuss the history of the divide between St Louis City and St Louis County.

Jones says in the city of St Louis "wanted to go its own way," in the 1870's.   They formed a plan to separate itself from St Louis County in 1876.

Jones  says in 1876 the city had 80% of the population of St Louis county and the city stretched to Grand Avenue.
