(KFTK) – KMOV reported that St. Louis schools are taking an extra step in combating gun violence by sending a letter home asking if parents had a gun in the house.

This sounds like an invasion of privacy. If you do have a gun, why is that the schools business?

“Quite frankly this is none of their business,” Marc said. “Since they got metal detectors, the schools certainly don’t have gun problems.”

If this passes, the district’s superintendent will write an instructional letter to parents asking if they have a gun at home and if they do, how they should properly store it.

Marc implored people to show up at these school board meetings.
