Madison County is voting to reopen, potentially lifting Pritzker’s orders.

Congressman John Shimkus said when you get out to the rural areas and this isn’t hitting the hospitals as hard, you need to reconsider the approach to reopening.

“Things have to happen. You can’t just stop something,” he said.

Governor Pritzker has been saying he is on his own and the federal government has not helped or stepped in to guide the state.

Many folks are questioning the stay-at-home order and if it is constitutional.

“I’m really frustrated with his crybaby attitude,” Shimkus said.

He continued to list out the ways the administration has helped the state.

“I wish he would just do his job and manage what he can manage,” he added.
