Exercise bike commercial causes stir on social media

Peloton is getting hammered because people can't stand the thought of a husband gifting an exercise bike to his wife. Why? Because, body shaming, or something.

As a society, the super loud minority on social media predictably knows that this husband is sending some patriarchal, misoginistic message to his wife about her body by demanding she exercise more. Hence, here, Merry Christmas, you need to work out more.

But what if, maybe just possibly, she loves going to the gym, loves spinning, and has been talking about how she doesn't have enough time in the day to get everything done.

Gee, I can relate to that.

Maybe she's exhausted from parenting, work life, and the constant struggle to be in more places than one human can possibly be. So maybe, it's possible that by gifting his wife a Pelaton, he gave her the priceless gift of time. Time to focus on work. Time to focus on her family. But even more so, time to focus on herself. That's a gift that a loving husband would know his wife would want. But of course, let's listen to the social media mob presume to understand the intricacies of a fake marriage in a thirty second commercial.

These people are infinitely more exhausting to me than any Pelaton bike could ever be.
