WH’s Stephen Miller: ‘The federal government brings a broad array of tools to fight violent crime that assists the local government’

Assistant to the President Stephen Miller said when you increase the presence of law enforcement you decrease the level of violence.

Operation Legend is a cooperative program between state, federal, and local law enforcement to solve unsolved cases and to get violent crime down.

“The president is responding to the bloodshed in the streets of these Democratic-run cities,” Miller said.

He continued to say the local police need all the help they can get and that is the main priority.

“There is a long-standing close partnership between the Federal government and police officers,” he said. “It’s the political leadership in these communities that are trying to keep out federal law enforcement.”
