Paris Dennard on Trump being the right person to set the tone: ‘This has to be done on a local level’

Dennard said you could look at Trump’s track record and understand that he is supporting initiatives to push the black community forward.

RNC’s Senior Communications advisor for Black Media Affairs Paris Dennard said setting the tone that we are making moves to heal the nation starts locally.

Dennard said he doesn’t know a single president that could fix a problem like the racial divide, that includes Trump. He said it starts with local government. That will be the most effective.

He highlighted that we will not find solutions in a government structure. The onus comes back to us, the people.

We have all heard that Trump is a racist. It’s in the news, it’s on social media, it’s in daily conversations. Annie asked Paris if he subscribed to this notion.

Paris said he is absolutely not a racist.
