For the last year and a half, Secretary Robert Wilkie has served with the president as his secretary of veterans affairs.

“This is the first president whoever made veterans a centerpiece in his campaign,” Secretary of Veteran Affairs Robert Wilkie.

Wilkie said the president has been very clear to him about doing whatever possible to stop elective surgeries and to stop assistant living facilities from having visitors so Veterans do not contract the virus.

“We do have all hands on deck,” he said about having VA employees on the frontlines. “We take this mission very seriously.”

It has been tough to see veterans who have served in WWII and Korea unable to see their family and friends.
