Good thing this man was filming.... Christian Cooper, the gentleman behind the video, was bird watching in an area of Central Park that requires dogs to be on leashes at all times. He claims he asked Amy Cooper (no relation) to leash her dog and she refused... and that's when he started to film.

The video clearly shows that the claim she is making is FALSE. Amy is actually the one moving towards Christian, and he tells her not to approach him. There was no "attacking" from Christian. It would seem that Amy is intent on using her hysteric tone of voice and a false claim of being "attacked by an Afrian American man" as a weapon against Christian. It is truly disgusting behavior.

And don't forget the dog. The poor pup is not being handled properly at all, and it is truly heartbreaking to watch. Fortunately, after the video went viral, Ms. Cooper surrendered the dog over to a rescue, presumably so that the pooch could find an owner who wouldn't strangle it in Central Park while making a race-baiting phone call!

Amy Cooper has been suspended at work as a result of this incident. She issued this half-baked apology:

How did she turn it around on the police? Ridiculous.
