"Regardless of what you think of her politics, I believe the American people can envision her as a future president more than they can an unlikeable first-term Senator, an undistinguished backbencher Congresswoman, or a so-called policy wonk who has never sought or held public office," Arps wrote for Red State. In the audio attached here, Arps and Marc Cox discuss Joe Biden’s pending VP announcement on 97.1 Talk.

Biden, early on, declared that he would pick a woman as his running mate. He did not say he would pick a running mate based on merit, qualifications or experience, Arps said.

Arps believes Biden will choose Elizabeth Warren as his running mate, though he added his wildcard prediction goes toward Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth. "Duckworth checks a lot of boxes for the campaign. She’s a “progressive” minority woman who was severely wounded while serving in the military during wartime. She despises the President and would be a great attack dog for the campaign," he wrote.
