Remember “Clean Missouri”? The trouble-laden legislation was positioned as a measure to limit lobbyist gifts. Cleverly named, this bill led citizens to believe it aimed to eliminate corruption. What many didn’t realize is that it also gave power to State Auditor Nicole Galloway to appoint a new demographer responsible for redrawing district lines. Having a partisan politician appoint this position will inevitably lead to gerrymandering and misconduct.

We check in with MO Rep. Dean Plocher on the looming consequences, as well as, the ease at which the Missouri Constitution can be amended.
