(KFTK) –  Nick Adams joined Randy recently to discuss his new book, Trump and Churchill: Defenders of Western Civilization, two leaders that Adams has been a fan of for some time.

"I read The Art of the Deal when I was 14, my father gave me a collection of Winston Churchill speeches when I was about nine or ten years-old," says Adams. "I became a lifelong student and admirer of both men."

Adams tells Randy that there are quite a few similarities between Donald Trump and Winston Churchill, "both loved their country, both were intensly disliked, even hated; both alpha males, both clear speakers and plain speakers, both had an acrimonious relationship with the media.  Both endured battles with the political establishment that wanted their destruction."

While Churchill's speeches are remembered worldwide, Adams admits that Trump's speeches are different.

"He's not going to be the eternally quotable guy that Winston Churchill was, that's just not his gift," says Adams. "But, [he's] such an effective communicator, that's what's so interesting. Such a different style and yet so effective."
